Arunachal Pradesh is a north-eastern province of India, known for its scenic beauty. I visited the Valukpong-Bomdila-Dirang-Tawang sector of this very state in late September of 2017.
I documented the night life of people on road while travelling by car. Since Arunachal possesses the lowest population density in India ( 17 persons per square km) ,It seemed very difficult in initial stage of making this project. But by god’s grace, the project was completed in due time.
I am always attracted by the supernatural things in life and how it shapes the night life by their invisible presence, especially in those areas where the environment helps in setting up the mood it is required.
In this series of candid black and white photographs, I tried to portray the nocturnal road life of this hilly terrain and the minimalist human life of Arunachal in the limelight of noir set up.
